The Baloch Gohaar Movement (Baloch Sister Movement) held in important meeting in to discuss regional political issues and China’s interference in Balochistan. The meeting also discussed the role of women in freedom struggle and planned to further strengthen their organisation.

The newly joined members from Nushki, Balochistan have been given their organisational positions and responsibilities and a four member organising committee of Nushi zone was officially announced – Banuk Semak Baloch has been selected as organiser, Banuk Aafreen Baloch deputy organiser whereas Banuk Sadia and Zainab Baloch are the members of the committee.

Central Vice Chairperson Banuk Zamur Azad Baloch and Nushki zone organiser Banuk Semak Baloch addressing the committee meeting said, “The participant of Baloch women in Balochistan freedom struggle has become unavoidable and along with Baloch brothers, the Baloch sisters should also join the national struggle for freedom.”

They said the Baloch women’s participation in the freedom movement will strengthen the national cause and also help to demoralise the enemy state.

“Our main priority is to mentally prepare Baloch women against slavery and help organise and institutionalise the Baloch struggle because an organised struggle is much stronger than a dispersed crowd,” Said the Baloch Gohaar Movement leaders.

They further said that it was among their organisational duties to spread awareness about the liberation struggle to all four corners of Balochistan and educate the Baloch women about freedom struggle.

“We believe along with armed struggle literature and awareness programs are the back bone of any freedom movement because without awareness and knowledge a liberation struggle cannot reach to its destination,” BGM leader explained in their statement.

The Baloch Gohaar Movement said women should be mentally prepared to go through hardships and render more sacrifices to face the difficult time ahead.

The Baloch female leaders said, “Women have played important roles in liberation struggles around world on both armed and political fronts including freedom struggle of Vietnam, Cuba and Korea and current international freedom struggles including that of Kurdistan, Palestine women are fighting along with men.”

At the end of their meeting they urged China to have the moral courtesy of abandoning the Gawadar port because only Baloch people are the owners of Balochistan. They said Baloch were fighting for their freedom and this unnatural agreement was signed against the will and consent of Baloch people. “Baloch nation terms this agreement against international laws and Baloch people do not accept any agreements that are against Baloch national interest.”
